Owner/Chef Lizz Parker
Chef Lizz Parker is a San Diego native who discovered the passion for cooking over 25 years ago when she began cooking with her family in El Slavador, then proceeded to work in the restaurant industry the last few decades. Lizz Parker, a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) graduate from Hyde Park, New York continued to hone her skills with Top Chefs in NYC .
After NYC Lizz Parker came back to her home town of San Diego and worked in restaurants in North County San Diego. She later discovered a position of Assistant Director for Sur La Tables Culinary Program. She taught over 200 classes and after a couple years Chef Lizz Parker started Parker & Thyme Cuisine Personal Chef Services. She had acquired personal clients on the side where she discovered the love for being a Personal Chef. After cooking for some personal clients who needed special attention to dietary restrictions, she discovered the creative challenge to create menus for their success in their diets.
Later became Spark Health's featured Private Chef with nutritionist Juliana Nikolic at Biointeligentwellness, http://biointelligentwellness.com/ in Solana Beach. She works closely with the Naturopathic Doctors and their clients on a regular basis. Chef Lizz has cooked for dozens of clients with health issues and has helped them achieve their goals throughout their dietary protocols. Chef Lizz believes there should be no sacrifice for satisfaction or flavor while eating healthy, or being on a restrictive diet.
She uses her vast knowledge in international cuisines and flavor profiles into menu/meal planning to achieve a healthy, flavorful diet & lifestyle.Parker & Thyme Personal Chef services specializes in gourmet catering, private dinner parties, SIBO, Paleo, Gluten & Dairy Free Diets. Chef Lizz also offers private and group cooking lessons.
Sous Chef Ann Hessell
Ann is an accomplished artist and Sous Chef. Her professional cooking career began under Chef Richard Rowles at the Meadow Country Club in Marin County where she specialized as a Chef Garde Manager. Ann has studied gourmet cuisine under several world renowned chefs, most notably Jacques Pepin. She is currently working as a Sous Chef at the Sur La Table Cooking School and for Parker & Thyme Cuisine.
